The Davey ChloroMatic Nipper is a compact, intelligent salt water chlorinator designed to keep your pool clean and swim-ready with minimal effort.

Designed in Australia, Nipper is suitable for standard salt, mineral salt and low-salt pools, with a simple digital interface and smart operating modes that let you adjust chlorine production to suit the season and how your pool is being used.

Smart Seasonal Control

Nipper makes it easy to manage chlorine output with dedicated operating modes:

  • Spa Mode – reduces cell output by 80%

  • Cover Mode – reduces output when a pool cover is in use

  • Boost Mode – runs at 100% output for 24 hours when extra chlorination is needed

  • Winter Mode – reduces output during periods of lower chlorine demand

Two independent timers allow you to schedule filtration and chlorination around your pool's requirements.

Installation

The Davey ChloroMatic Nipper should be professionally sized and installed to suit the pool volume, climate and expected chlorine demand.

The reverse-polarity cell is installed into the pool return plumbing using 50mm connections and must receive adequate water flow whenever chlorination is operating.

The controller should be securely mounted in a suitable protected position and connected to the correct electrical supply.

The pool must be brought to the correct salt or mineral concentration before commissioning. Standard Nipper models operate between approximately 3,000–6,000ppm, while Low Salt models can operate from approximately 1,500ppm.

Correct water flow, water balance, salt level and filtration run time are important for reliable chlorine production and cell life.

Davey provides a 36-month manufacturer warranty on the ChloroMatic Nipper.

Warranty coverage is subject to Davey’s current warranty conditions, correct installation, water chemistry, maintenance and operation within the manufacturer’s specifications.

Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition to the manufacturer warranty.
