The Waterco Micron Fibreglass Media Filter is built for long-term strength, reliable filtration and simple maintenance.

Using advanced fibreglass filament-winding technology, the Micron tank is manufactured as a seamless one-piece vessel with no welds or seams to corrode. Its UV and corrosion-resistant construction makes it well suited to harsh outdoor pool environments and the constant pressure changes experienced during filtration and backwashing.

Reliable Depth Filtration

Micron filters use depth filtration, forcing pool water through the filter media where dirt and debris are trapped throughout the media bed before clean water is returned to the pool.

When the filter becomes dirty, cleaning is simple — turn the multiport valve to Backwash and the water flow is reversed to flush accumulated debris from the media.

Warranty

Waterco’s current Australian warranty schedule provides a 10-year domestic warranty on fibreglass filter tanks, with 1 year on the multiport valve, internal fittings and gauges, subject to Waterco’s warranty terms and conditions.

Installation

The Waterco Micron Fibreglass Media Filter should be correctly sized to suit the pool volume, filtration pump flow rate and selected filter media.

The filter should be installed on a firm, level base with adequate clearance around the tank and multiport valve for operation and servicing.

Correct plumbing size and flow rate are important to maintain filtration efficiency and allow effective backwashing.

The required quantity and grade of filter media varies by model and should be loaded in accordance with Waterco’s specifications.

Waterco provides the following manufacturer warranty for Micron Fibreglass Media Filters in domestic installations:

Filter tank: 10 years
Multiport valve: 3 years

Commercial installations:
Filter tank: 5 years — 1 year full plus 4 years pro-rata
Multiport valve: 2 years
Other components: 1 year

Warranty coverage is subject to Waterco’s current warranty terms, correct installation, maintenance and operating conditions.

Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition to the manufacturer warranty.
