The Waterco Smart Solar Controller is a simple, set-and-forget digital temperature controller designed to automatically manage your solar heating system and make the most of the free energy available from the sun.

Once your preferred pool temperature is selected, the controller monitors the pool and solar collector temperatures and automatically operates the solar heating system when conditions are suitable. This helps maximise heating efficiency while preventing the system from unnecessarily circulating water when there isn't enough solar heat available.

Installation

The Waterco Smart Solar Controller should be mounted upright in a sheltered location protected from direct weather, splashing and spray from the pool or filtration equipment.

It should be positioned within reach of a suitable 240V power outlet and close to the solar pump. The pool temperature sensor is installed in the pool plumbing, while the roof sensor is positioned to monitor solar collector temperature.

Correct sensor placement and setup are important for accurate and efficient operation.

Warranty

Waterco’s Smart Solar Controller product manual states a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase for parts defective in workmanship or materials.

Warranty coverage is subject to Waterco’s current warranty terms, installation requirements and exclusions. Opening or attempting to service the controller may void the product warranty.

Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition to the manufacturer warranty.
